to get your 4x4 up to a basic standard to venture off road.

These simple checks are easy to do and will help prevent those
nasty surprises that you don`t want to have to deal with Off-Road!
- Vehicle
- Coolant level
- Brake Fluid level
- Engine Oil level
- Windscreen Wash level
- Lights
- Brakes
- Tyre pressure & nut tightness - including the spare!
- Fuel
- Equipment for vehicle
- Know your Recovery Points
- Fire Extinguisher
- Recovery Rope
- Jack kit
- First Aid Kit
- Torch
- You and Your passengers
- Appropriate Clothing
- Good Footwear
- Gloves for handling ropes etc.
All recoveries by rope in any situation could be potentially dangerous,
especially if the stuck vehicle is bogged well down.
Not only is it essential to use the correct type of rope for the job in hand,
but also it is extremely important to attach the said rope to proper strong
towing points that should be fitted to both the front and rear of the vehicles.
